A Blog Date and Rain Boots

Yesterday was cold and rainy. I LOVE that type of weather on the weekends when I can sit on the couch all day watching bad 80's movies. I don't really love it when I have to walk to work in a torrential downpour. Luckily, I have some amazing rain boots that make rainy days so much better {more about that in a bit}. Do you have rain boots?

The highlight of my rainy day yesterday was another get-together with the gorgeous Julie from Julip Made {if you haven't visited her blog yet--you must!}. We enjoyed hot drinks, swapping blog information and shopping at World Market. She is a master in the kitchen, so on her recommendation, I came home with these goodies {our next date will be Christmas cookies and cocktails. I. CAN'T. WAIT!}

Black Truffle Oil. $9.99.
{I couldn't find it on the World Market website. Picture found here.}

Bacon Salt. $3.99
I bought this for the hubby who would add bacon to our toothpaste if I let him.
He was VERY excited when I whipped this out of my purse.

Back to the boots. Kamik Rain Boots. The Jennifer ones to be exact. I ADORE them. I've been wanting a pair of rain boots for a while and finally ordered a pair after doing a bit of research. If you don't have rain boots, run and get some immediately! They make such a difference on rainy days because they are fun to wear, you can splash in puddles and you'll be so busy admiring your new boots that you won't even notice that your hair resembles a poufy, frizzy mess.

Mine are black and are the same height as the Hunter boots, but half the price! They are also super comfortable {I have walked 2+ miles in them} and my feet have remained dry and cozy. I ordered mine from Amazon and the prices range from $52.99 to $64.95. xo

Victorian Ruby and Pearl Ring

So, did you get any good Cyber Monday deals? Also, is this a new term or do I just not remember it from the past couple of years?!? I bought some more Pilates classes at 10% off and a dress from Target that was an extra $7 off. Woohoo. So, I only did minor damage with all the deals out there.

Moving on to a favorite topic-JEWELRY! This ring has been on my Etsy favorite list for a while. Isn't it so dainty and beautiful? Sadly, the ring is too big for me; otherwise, it would definitely be on my Christmas list! Oh, and I think it would make a beautiful engagement ring. Don't you? xo

Bright Eyes Treasures. Size 7. $239.

Anthro Spun Scenes Scarves {updated}

These scarves from Anthropologie are so gorgeous {on sale for $129.95!!} I can't decide which color I'd pick!!

Update: Hi friends. I think I confused some of you with this post. I'm not buying one of these scarves. I'm just madly in love with them and can't decide which one is my favorite. I could never justify spending $129.95 on a scarf!! Well, unless I win the lottery. Hmm..probably not even then. As a disclaimer, I LOVE stuff. Love it. I love finding stuff and blogging about it, but I hardly ever buy the stuff I feature. I'd be living out of my car with a lot of pretty things if I did though! Okay. I'm done. Goodnight!

The New Domestic Bags and Totes

Hi friends! Did you enjoy your weekend? We had a wonderful time visiting with a bunch of friends from out of town. There was a lot of laughing, drinking and eating {Founding Farmers, District Pi, Teaism (amazing chai) and Pete's Apizza} involved. I had pizza for lunch and dinner on Sunday. Yep. I loved it. And I want another piece right now for breakfast. Luckily, blogging burns calories. Lots of them. Right?!?
